Summary

Soundrise does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything the app stores stays on your device.

What Soundrise accesses

Your Apple Music library. With your permission, Soundrise reads your music library — your playlists, songs, artists, albums, and genres — so it can build a morning playlist for you. This information is read on your device, is used only to create and play your playlist, and is never sent anywhere.

You grant this permission through iOS, and you can withdraw it at any time in the Settings app under Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music.

Your alarm and playback preferences. Your wake time, days, volume and fade settings, snooze duration, and playlist or genre selections are saved on your device so the app remembers them between launches.

What Soundrise does not do

  • It does not collect analytics or usage data.
  • It does not use crash reporting.
  • It does not contain third-party advertising or tracking software.
  • It does not have a server, an account system, or a login.
  • It does not send your data anywhere, to us or to anyone else.

We have no way to see your music library, your settings, or how you use the app.

Where your data is stored

All of it is stored locally on your device, using standard iOS storage. Nothing is uploaded.

If you have iCloud device backups enabled, your app settings may be included in your own encrypted iCloud backup. That backup is managed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, and we have no access to it.

Deleting your data

You can delete everything Soundrise has stored by using Delete My Data in the app’s Settings, or by deleting the app from your device. Either removes your saved preferences and cancels any scheduled alarms.

Withdrawing Soundrise’s access to your Apple Music library is done separately, in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music. The app’s Settings screen has a Manage Apple Music Access shortcut that takes you there.

Apple Music

Soundrise plays music through Apple Music using Apple’s MusicKit framework. Your use of Apple Music is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and terms, which are separate from this one. Soundrise does not receive information about your Apple ID or your Apple Music account.

Children

Soundrise does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
